Ohio Common Ground (OCG) is a statewide, member-driven civic organization organized to give Ohio citizens a stronger, more coordinated voice in public affairs while protecting the organization from capture by political parties, special interests, wealthy donors, or individual leaders.
The bylaws establish a governance system designed to balance member control, local representation, transparency, accountability, and long-term organizational independence.

The Governance & Integrity Committee is established as a permanent constitutional oversight body of Ohio Common Ground. The Committee exists to preserve organizational independence, constitutional compliance, transparency, member rights, fiduciary integrity, and resistance to organizational capture by parties, candidates, donors, factions, vendors, or concentrated internal power.

Ohio Common Ground recognizes that public trust is among its most valuable assets. The purpose of this Policy is to protect organizational integrity, prevent conflicts of interest, preserve independence, and support compliance with applicable law.

The Constitutional Charter serves as the highest internal governing document of Ohio Common Ground. It functions similarly to a constitution, establishing the organization’s mission, principles, governance structure, member rights, and distribution of authority.
The Charter exists to ensure that OCG remains a citizen-centered organization that cannot be easily captured by political parties, donors, factions, special interests, or future leadership.
